To me, she still looks like just Thomas, but when I see her go up the stairs, she struggles more and I can see her age.
She showed up at our doorstep when we lived in the shack on Old Blue Ridge Highway. Katie was 2 and she kept walking around with a sock on her shoulder, petting it, saying it was her new kitten Thomas. So when this kitten showed up, we decided she was Thomas. She was so tiny, I have no idea how she ended up alone at the house on the busy highway, but there she was.
She has 7 to 8 toes on each paw. When we got Lady the dog, she left for 10 days and I thought she was gone for good, just too mad about her house being violated. But just like nothing had even happened, she waltzed back in 10 days later and reestablished her residence upstairs. She is the most unsocial of our cats. She and Daphne (cat 2) get along well, but Tato (cat 3) is her mortal enemy. She mainly sleeps upstairs. Everyday she goes outside and i watch her walk down the path to the treehouse. She is usually gone about an hour, then wants back in. She will only go in and out the front door. She will at times allow you to pet her, but when she decides time is up, will hiss and scratch and run away.
And she loves Amy Bell. this goes back to the time when Amy was in high school and college and "worked" for me. apparently her and thomas bonded over naps upstairs. Thomas does not come for anyone else, but when Amy calls, Thomas comes running.
I often wonder how much longer Thomas will haunt our home and the top of the stairs. It seems like she has been with us forever. Daphne (cat 2 ) is only 1 1/2 years behind her. The house of old cats.
I had my first physical therapy today. He says i have to only get my flexion to +10 and I am at -3, so only 13 degrees more to be able to walk. I have excercises to do and i told him i will be there by our next visit!

So you're running a cat house? Too funny that Thomas loves Amy! Enjoy her while you have her (Thomas that is). I'm sure she'll haunt you for a long time.
She's a beautiful cat - that pretty gray/blue color (is that Russian blue?) We had a cat that color but she has been missing for a few weeks now and I fear she's gone for good. She was a stray my youngest found in a parking lot, and really skittish, but she and I had become friends. I really hope she shows back up.
Thirteen degrees...go for it! Hugs...
Thomas is a sweet girl. We have had lots of lazy days together at the Quigley household when I "worked" there!!!!!!!!
This is great info to know.
