This will be pretty bland cause I am in a funk. i look at my foot and ankle and it looks pretty normal, but i am terrified of it and angry at it. i know I am probably getting near the end of this phase, but I look at the calendar and it seems to stretch endlessly. I feel like i could just get out of bed and stand up and walk (still having walking dreams), but I am terrified of even trying. I have relied on my ankle all my life and it let me down. Maybe it took the brunt and saved me from something worse. I read the progress stories of my fellow gimps and I know that if every other person can recover, I can....but when? I did something the other day and it blew up with swelling and the whole right side turned blue. Is it that delicate? If so, this may take a lot longer than I am planning on. But as I am famous for saying, nothing ever turns out the way you think it will... nothing... I can't think of one thing, so this will be no different.
The highlights of my day yesterday; I shared a fart story with my friends Amy and Jamie (who love a good fart story as much as me). Amy wanted to take me to the grocery store and let me ride in the electric cart, but that is more humiliation than i could stand. I know she'd take a camera! Also, i finally went downstairs to work on some cards.
What a mess! I can get around pretty good, but when I started working on something I would need something else, so i would have to find it and then i would think of something else. I only got one card done and i never did find my glues stick. The girls have been down there making cards, so things are not where they are supposed to be and hunting isn't as fun on crutches. Usually when i make cards, I start with one idea and then It kind of morphs as I add things and change it, but this Time I am going to have to follow the "recipe" and get it done. I am hoping to start Christmas cards this weekend. Today, my goal is just to straighten up one bit at a time with a lot of resting in between. If i break it in small steps it will be doable.
I also came up with a Benedict Arnold costume for Hannah the other day at the last minute. i thought it was really good, call me if you ever need one. Then she comes home yesterday and tells me it wasn't due til next week! So instead of being last minute, we are ahead of things.
