Week 6

Week 6!

This is when most people start walking. I guess i thought it would be like you just start walking, but apparently it's not quite that simple. i am going to physical therapy this Thursday, but i think i will only start range of motion. i have been doing that some on my own, but i understand they help a lot more, cause when i do it i am afraid of my foot and probably don't push it.

But when you start walking, i hear you still have to wear the darth vader shoe and it take a month to get to full weight bearing. I cheat a little now and then on my crutches. It its not painful, but my ankle gets purple and swollen, which i think is normal. I don't think i will be cleared to start walking until after my next appt Oct 22nd.

Yesterday Katie drove me to get my haircut and she and Hannah got theirs done, too. We then went out to the Mexican restaurant, since Cobb's Mill was not open.

Other than this, I worked on some cards and sorted out all my embellishments. As i use them i tend to not put the ribbon back in the ribbon drawer and things get scattered and i don't know what i have. in honor of world card making day, I made a card.

Then, there was a three hour Animal Cops marathon! What fun.

I like the slideshow. I took some leaf pictures today and will have to get them onto my computer this evening. Hugs...

Take it slow, Chunkygal, it will happen. I know you are impatient because it feels like it's been so long, but bones need tlc when you start putting weight and pressure on them again. Red and swollen means you are overdoing it, I think - check with the doctor...
